Who Is Stefanie Gruber?

She’s fictional. Her opinions aren’t. And that’s the whole point.

Stefanie Gruber is EBTH’s first digital employee — a fictional persona created and operated by the Association for Business Transformation Experts.

Why would a professional association create a digital employee?

Because that’s exactly what we help other organizations do. EBTH advises companies on implementing GenAI in real business contexts. And instead of just talking about it, we decided to show it: Stefanie is our own proof of concept.

She’s 32, based in Linz, Austria, holds a degree in business administration — and exists only on LinkedIn and in our hearts. She is not an AI-generated bot. Her posts are written by a small team within EBTH, supported by the same GenAI tools we help our members implement. Her stories draw on real (anonymized) experiences from our network of transformation professionals across the DACH region.

What Stefanie does:

  • Says what everyone in the room is thinking but no one will say in the meeting

  • Challenges the corporate language that makes transformation sound easy and safe

  • Amplifies the voices of women in consulting and leadership

  • Brings a generational perspective to an industry that often talks about change but resists it

  • Demonstrates what a “digital employee” actually looks like in practice

  • Drives visibility for EBTH and the work our members do every day

What Stefanie is not:

  • She is not a real person. We will never pretend otherwise.

  • She is not a fully automated AI. Real people write her content, supported by GenAI tools — just like we recommend our clients do.

  • She is not a replacement for expert advice. She’s a conversation starter, not a consultant.

Why this matters:

Every organization talks about digital transformation. Very few demonstrate it with their own operations. Stefanie is our way of walking the talk — showing that new formats, new tools, and a willingness to experiment can create real engagement and visibility. If a professional association can create a compelling digital employee, imagine what your organization could do.

Why transparency matters to us:

We believe that trust is the foundation of transformation — in organizations and online. Creating a fictional character without disclosure would contradict everything we stand for. Stefanie’s profile, posts, and interactions all make her fictional nature clear. If you ever have questions about who she is or how she operates, we’re happy to talk.
